This Tarmac comes with known and trusted components: Shimano Ultegra 11-speed drivetrain combined with hydraulic disc brakes and a pair of Roval C38 wheels, not to mention the Power saddle.
For the Tarmac design, Specialized used advanced aerospace composite optimization software to revolutionize the construction and shaping of the new FACT 9r carbon frame. Aerodynamics is the most important thing to being faster, and with the Tarmac, it was improved without adding any weight. How? With a new fork shape and more aerodynamic seatstays. The result? A Tarmac that is about 30 seconds faster over 40 kilometers than a Tarmac SL5.
The completely revised geometry is based on countless Retül data points and feedback from professional riders. This has resulted in a high-performance road geometry that perfects the combination of a responsive front end and a short wheelbase, providing instant response and optimal power transfer.
