The Tarmac Disc has been designed to be not just fast, but fast everywhere. Long climbs, windy flats, Grand Tour stages or local cyclosportives: this is a competition bike that excels on all these terrains.
Specialized started with their frame, to which the Rider-First Engineered design ensures a perfect fit regardless of size, added some aerodynamic improvements that make it 45 seconds faster over 40 kilometres than the Tarmac SL5, and then lightened it by 20%. The result is a lighter, faster and more manoeuvrable frame.
When it came to equipping the Tarmac, Specialized focused on reliability and efficiency, with a Shimano Ultegra mechanical drivetrain, powerful hydraulic disc brakes, solid DT R470 Disc wheels and their famous Power saddle.
