With its roots in the Hightower and now the VPP "Lower-Link" suspension from the V10, the Megatower is the ultimate enduro bike in Santa Cruz's 29-inch lineup. It's powerful, durable and inspires confidence. The shock configuration mounted on the bottom link allows the use of either an air or spring shock. It provides a progressive damping curve that delivers unparalleled grip and shock resistance, so you can handle the longest descents and hardest impacts without flinching.
To help the Megatower get the most out of EWS tracks around the world, it has a wide range of adjustability built into the design. A well-placed, hidden flip-chip on the bottom link adjusts the height of the bottom bracket and changes the progressiveness of the rear suspension. A second flip-chip on the swingarm allows for a 10mm adjustment of chainstay length to adjust rider weight distribution, either for stability or riding preference. Flip-chips are a reliable and robust mechanical means to allow riders to adapt their riding and needs without compromising reliability and durability. No fancy tricks here, just simple and effective mechanical means.
