To create an aero-dynamic bike, Look has focused on maximum integration. Seatpost, stem, crankset, brakes and all internal wiring, including that for the front brake, whether electric or mechanical. For Shimano Di2 and Campagnolo EPS systems, the battery is housed in the seat tube.
Stiffness and lightness were of course taken into account, and the Nivernaise brand uses a unidirectional carbon braided in 1.5 K, a departure from the more usual values of between 3 and 12 K. The aim is to "extend" the fibers as much as possible, to position the layers more precisely and to ensure better transition of forces.
The LOOK 695 Aerolight iPack 2014 frame takes integration and aerodynamics to the next level. Stiffer and 110g lighter than its predecessor, with brake integration and improved aerodynamics, the Aerolight is a new benchmark.
