The little story
Since the early days of post-war road racing, one brand has stood out from all the rest, with more pedigree and history than most of them combined. Colnago is that brand, and its beginnings date back to 1954, when Ernesto Colnago started making frames in Cambiago, Italy. The beautiful C59 Italia is still handcrafted in the same place. It's an evolution of the first Colnago carbon frame, the Concept, developed in 1986 with the Ferrari F1 team. It's also the same frame that Thomas Voeckler used when he wore the yellow jersey in the 2011 Tour de France.
From the very first pedal stroke on the C59, you know you're on something very special. The first feeling you get is that there is no effort involved with each pedal stroke. The low weight and high frame stiffness means that this is a very efficient bike for transferring your energy into motion. There is a real sense of direct communication between the rider, the bike and the road. In the corners, it's simply blistering, carving the lines with more control and grace than most other frames.
A truly fantastic frame, combined with the Campagnolo Super Record groupset, make this a bike with impeccable handling and inspiring performance.
